Meat preservation expert Purac presents newly expanded portfolio at IFFA

Leading meat preservation expert Purac will be showcasing its new range of label-friendly ingredients and an expanded portfolio to extend shelf life, at this year's IFFA in Frankfurt, Germany. With a focus on shelf life, consumer-friendly labels and sodium reduction, Purac will be demonstrating how its ingredients can inhibit microbial growth, clean up product labels and reduce sodium levels.

Label-friendly quality improvement
The highlight at Purac's stand this year will be its new Verdad F range. The company will unveil several new ingredients for both cooked cured meats and vacuum-packed fresh chicken and pork. Labeled simply as "fermented sugar and/or vinegar", the Verdad F range enables processors and retailers to clean up product labels, while improving overall quality.

Reducing sodium with award-winning solutions
Also on show will be PuraQArome NA4, specifically developed to enhance salty and savoury notes in a wide variety of RTE meat and poultry products. This naturally-derived ingredient allows food processors to reduce sodium content by up to 40%, while maintaining product quality and shelf life.

Visitors to Purac's stand will be able to speak to market experts and technical advisors about their specific applications. The company will also be offering the opportunity to sample 40% sodium reduced ham and quality-enhanced sausages, freshly grilled by Purac's on-stand chefs.
