Marc Lankveld, VP Innovation Platforms
- Overall lead of the introduction of a new biopolymer (PEF) and next generation feedstocks for biobased building blocks like lactic acid.
- Serves as member of the Supervisory board of the Bioprocess Pilot Facility (BPF) in Delft since 2014.
Marc joined Corbion in 2013, when his biotech company BIRD Engineering (BIRD), based in Delft (NL) was taken over by Corbion. From 2001-2008 Marc held various sales and senior project management positions in IT (Sogeti), Consulting (Accenture) and a large Business Process project at DSM in Switzerland (2008). From 1995 -2001 he held various technical/business roles at Cebeco-Handelsraad, a large agricultural company in NL at that time. This is also where he got his entrepreneurial passion to develop renewable (agricultural based) resources to replace fossil resources.
He holds a MSc degree in Chemical Engineering (Bio process technology) of Delft University of Technology (TU Delft). He performed special projects in DTU Lyngby (Denmark) and Shell Oil , Norco (USA) during his studies. Marc was awarded a special honory award from TU Delft for his organization efforts during the centennial celebration of Technologisch Gezelschap, the study society of Chemical Engineering.
Stephan Roest, Market Development Manager
Stephan Roest is the market development manager for Corbion’s Innovation Platforms group. In this role he is responsible for developing the business for Corbion’s Innovation Platforms portfolio, of which FDCA for PEF bioplastic is one of them.
Stephan has a background of 8 years in consultancy, of which 7 years at PwC as sustainability consultant. With a passion to accelerate the circular- and biobased economy, he stepped over to the truly sustainable chemical company, Corbion, in 2015. He has a Bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering at Utrecht University, a Master’s degree in Policy Analysis, Systems Engineering and Management at Delft University and an Executive MBA from the Rotterdam School of Management.
