PURAC®: Lactic acid for meat

PURAC® natural lactic acid helps reduce bacteria in fresh meat during processing. Naturally present in the body and in foods like cheese, yogurt, and salami, lactic acid has been used and trusted by the meat industry for many years.

PURAC® takes its name from a simple contraction of the words ‘pure acid.’ When you spray (or mist) PURAC directly onto the surface of a meat carcass or trims, it reduces microbial load and improves meat safety.
